Much to Be Thankful For

Vacation to San Diego
We headed down to San Diego for five days and it was heaven! No surprise as we love this place. We stayed at the same property we always do - an oceanfront condo on Pacific Beach and it really can't be beat. Weather was great and as an added bonus Jeannine and Harlow were able to join us. They stayed at Paradise Point and with it's resort amenities, Kaitlyn got the best of both worlds! Great pools, ponds, and activities at Nana and Papa's place and great views, ocean access, and the boardwalk at our place. And as a special treat, Nana and Papa had a sleepover with KP (which meant a date night for Ryan and me. Wahoo!) This trip was a completely and totally relaxing and blissful getaway! We'll definitely be back.

Thanksgiving with Family
Although we flew back on Thanksgiving day, the Mosers and Krauses were kind enough to do our turkey day celebration on Friday. Great food and wonderful company made for a lovely day. Thanks so much for hosting, Jen!
P.S. I looked and we do have the salt and pepper shaker and the gravy boat to match our china. Wink, wink. Hope you don't accidently misplace yours.

No One Got Hurt
Unfortunately, on our way home from the Moser's we got in a car accident. Thankfully no one got hurt but our car didn't fare so well. It was 8:30 pm and we were heading up Highway 18. Anyone who's traveled that highway knows how dark it can get. Anyways, the person in front of us didn't secure his Christmas tree good enough as it came off the roof of his SUV and was rapidly rolling down the highway in our lane. It took me a second to even figure out what the heck this thing barreling at us was. I didn't really have anywhere to go and very little time to do anything other than veer as far as possible without causing another accident and brace for the impact of hitting the tree.

On a somewhat amusing yet crazy note, evidently Christmas tree incidents/accidents are more common than you'd think according to the insurance agent I was working with. Anyways, it's a total pain that we have to now deal with all of the car repairs but it could've been much, much worse so for that I'm so thankful that no one was hurt. Unfortunately, the Christmas tree smell that lingers in my car would've been achieved much more easily through a tree air freshener!

Back on a better note, here are some pictures from our fun in San Diego!
