I'm continuing to play catch-up. Although I did post earlier about the snow that came our way the week of January 16th, that was when the snow was still in the fun stage. It quickly wore out its welcome. And the ice storm that we had on that Thursday was never welcomed in the first place. It caused an extensive amount of damage, mucked up roadways and traffic for quite a while, and the worst was the massive power outages in the area. Thankfully we didn't have to endure any loss of power but my parents and the Mosers did. And we're not talking for a few hours. We're talking DAYS. Boo!
Nonetheless, the good thing to come out of it was that because my parent's house was so cold my Mom headed our way for an overnight stay to escape it all and get in a few hot showers. Little did she know that she was going to be participating in some impromptu theater performances. Saturday evening Kaitlyn wanted to build a theater and so we did (we've got a ton of cardboard in the garage and its so fun to think back on all the things we've built with it and exciting to look forward to the new creations that are ahead!). And naturally, performances had to follow.
Oddly enough, my Mom only ended up staying the one night with us. She and my Dad got a hotel for the next two nights. I think the theater and the pressure to perform sent her packing. LOL!
