We've got a tooth!

Yep, KP's very first tooth! It popped up Monday morning and even with all our best efforts we haven't been able to get her to show it off long enough to get a picture. Not sure how good the picture would be anyways as it's just popping through. She really enjoys chomping down on our fingers though so we can definitely feel it. As soon as we can capture it, we'll share the picture here. :)

Dear Daddy,
Happy Birthday!!! In honor of your special day I thought I’d share some of my favorite things about you.

1. I think your singing is the best. You make up the lyrics as you go along which makes Mommy giggle and that’s so much fun!
2. I LOVE when you come home from work. No matter how your day has gone, you immediately have a big smile for me and want to hold, cuddle, and play with me!
3. Your shoulder and/or chest…they are such great places to catch a little nap.
4. How on special occasions I get to watch sports with you in the ‘big daddy’ chair.
5. That every night you take me up to bed and send me off to dreamland. No matter whether it’s an easy transition to sleep or an all out effort to get me down, you always stick it out and wish me sweet dreams.

I may only be 7 months old, but I sure love you. The day I came into this world, I immediately grabbed onto your hand and I’m not letting go anytime soon.

Baby Shower Fun!

Today we celebrated the upcoming arrival of Baby Luke! I'm bummed that with all the fun and excitement I didn't get any pictures. So if anyone has some good pics, please send my way so I can upload.

Karena, I hope it was a special day for you. I sure had fun being part of it!

We are looking forward to meeting the little guy, but not too soon, let him bake in there a little bit longer! :)

Dear Papa,

When I heard today was your birthday, I thought 'Grrr...we don't get to celebrate with you!'

But then Mommy and Daddy told me that we're going to see you really soon and we can celebrate then. So yay!!!

Here I am jumping for joy from the news! So hurry back so that we can have some yummy cake and sing happy birthday to you (or my babbling version of it, which I promise you'll like it better!)

Here's the rundown on Kaitlyn's eating lately:

Bananas = yuck!

Brown rice cereal = ok, growing on me

Pears = now you're talking

Clean toes from a bath = yummy!!!

Oh, and as Auntie Jen says, 'Kaitlyn's a milk snob!' Little does Kaitlyn know that her very first bottle of formula is about 2 weeks away so we'll see what she thinks about that. Zikes!
