Of course, the optimist in me won out and we immediately started chatting about ideas. None of which were good enough for her, nor was what the internet search provided. Thus, off we went to the library. I DO love that she has the same passion for the library and books that I have!
Anyways, a week goes by. Wavering back and forth on what to do. Some meltdowns. Some excitement. LOTS of indecision. In the end, we paired her love of cooking/baking with the science fair project. The Cookie Experiment explored if different pans baked cookies differently and hence, different metals conducted heat differently. She decided to partner with Lily and we had a bake-a-thon of cookies. No surprise, their favorite part was taste testing!
They did a GREAT job at the science fair explaining and interacting with the kids/parents and judges. For all of those of you wondering...a light colored air bake pan produces the best cookies in these kids' opinions.
| Lots of cookie tasting leads to silliness! |
| Day of the Science Fair and they are ready! |
