Bellingham, Baby!

So what does one do the last weekend of summer? Well, get out of town for one last getaway! We headed to Bellingham with the Tausch's. Our original intent was Birch Bay but there wasn't any availability. We later learned it was Crab Festival weekend, hence the big crowds. In the end, it turned out great that we didn't stay in Birch Bay. We went out there on Saturday and it was SUPER windy and stormy and all power was out. There were lots of downed trees and power lines. Thus, back to Bellingham we headed where it was still crazy but not to the extent as out at Birch Bay. Needless to say, many lost power there too, including our hotel, but it all happened while we were out and about so no biggie.

On a crazy note, I did the math. It's been 21 years since I was at Western. Seriously, how is that possible?!

On our way north we stopped by the Humane Society
so KP could donate her summer earnings - $50! 

KP and Lily couldn't get enough of doing flips on the bed.
Kept them busy forever!

Can't go to Birch Bay without hitting the go-carts and mini putt-putt!
Even if it's totally stormy!

Can't tell but it was SUPER windy on the golf course!

Sad at Semiahmoo - we headed all the way out there
for lunch only to find that their restaurant was closed
due to power outages. 

The other nonstop activity other than bed flips was
pool time. They hit the pool three times over the weekend!
