Trying New Things

I've been asking Kaitlyn what activities she wants to do this fall. The usual suspects (dance, gymnastics, soccer, swim) all got big ole thumbs down from her. I'm good with that (except for swim - that's a safety thing and we will start back up soon). No one wants to pay good money and then have to drag your child to lessons. So we started exploring new options. She came up with two that we are going with and she's super excited.

First, horse riding lessons. First lesson was yesterday and her grin couldn't get any bigger. She absolutely LOVED everything about it. The lady is fantastic and it's not just riding lessons but she also is learning all about the horse and how to care for it. This was definitely a winner!

Second, girl scouts. Yep, she is now officially signed up to be a Daisy and is in the same troop as her friends Lily and Annika.

Here's hoping for a fun Fall of trying and experiencing new things!
