Today we headed down to my parent's house for a birthday celebration for me. Yay! We've pretty much made this into an annual thing, celebrating my bday down their way. And heck, why not. They've got a GREAT new park right across the street, the wonderful beach access, and it's always nice being back home. My Dad's garden is AMAZING as well! Kaitlyn and I had fun eating peas and pea pods right off the vine. The only way today could have been better is if the marionberries had been ready. :)
Anyways, we headed down mid-morning, hung out at the park, had lunch from Brewery City (yummo), ate some super good cake and ice cream, and then went for a walk down to the beach. We spent time looking for crabs, shells, and skipping rocks. It was quite lovely. We finished off with one last trip to the park for Kaitlyn and then headed home in hopes of beating that awful Sunday traffic that brings that area to a stop.
